Homework help and healthy activities for neighborhood youth

December 7th, 2011  |  Published in Step Up  |  2 Comments

Step Up supports healthy living and learning for local students through a twice-weekly after-school enrichment program.

Kids get help with homework in the Step Up program.

Volunteers help students with their homework

Kids eat healthy snacks, receive one-on-one help with homework and reading, and participate in cool activities like cooking, gardening, hiking, and art.  Family events are held several times per year.

If you would like to volunteer with Step Up, please email us at peerincbirmingham@gmail.com.  Our schedule is compatible with university semester schedules. We are looking for more community partners for the 2012-2013 school year.  If your organization is interested in working with us, please let us know.
