Market Basket Program
Get a basket of the freshest produce for an 18 week season (June 12 – October 9, 2010), or by the week. Baskets will contain a variety of seasonal produce, recipes, and preparation tips, as well as occasional specialty items such as honey or pastries.
*Baskets are only $25 dollars a week. Each basket is filled with fresh and local produce to feed a family of two-four for a week.
Baskets must be picked up at the market on Saturdays. Order as a group, and find several people from your church or agency who are willing to share in picking the baskets up! (NEW IN 2009: MARKET BASKET PROGRAM OFFERING DROP OFF SITES AROUND THE BIRMINGHAM AREA. CALL US TO FIND A DROP OFF SITE NEAR YOU!!)
$25 per basket or $400 for the season. The fee for the baskets can be paid in 3 installments throughout the season.
ALL CHECKS MADE OUT TO: P.E.E.R., Inc
This money goes to support our inner-city market and community.
Donations to this program will help to furnish baskets to neighborhood seniors and to area feeding agencies. For just $10-$20 a week, your money could provide fresh produce to a neighborhood senior or low-income family.
